Patient Satisfaction
We welcome feedback from our patients and their families about their care experience at Stanford Health Care. One formalized mechanism for receiving this feedback is through our patient experience surveys, administered confidentially and anonymously through Press Ganey. A sampling of our patients will receive a survey in the mail following a stay or visit. We closely monitor the results of these surveys to help us better understand how we can further improve the care experience.
One of the best indicators of an overall experience is a patient's likelihood to recommend Stanford to their friends and family. A higher likelihood to recommend has been shown to be strongly related to greater patient loyalty and overall satisfaction. In fact, this very question is used in surveys used for hospitals across the country. We are proud to see that in comparison to other hospitals participating with CMS public reporting of these scores, Stanford Hospital scores well within the top quartile across the country.
