Oral Anti-viral Medications
Outpatient Treatment for COVID-19
Oral anti-viral medications are available to eligible patients for outpatient treatment of COVID-19.
Paxlovid, a combination of nirmatrelvir and ritonavir, can be as effective as outpatient monoclonal antibody (mAb) therapies. There is a potential for Paxlovid to interact with other medications.
Molnupiravir is another oral pill option. Molnupiravir should not be used in patients who are under the age of 18 years or patients who are pregnant.
Ask your primary care doctor if anti-viral pills are right for you.
