CURES Database Developed to Combat Over-Prescribing of Opioids
On October 2, 2018, the new Controlled Substance Utilization Review and Evaluation System (CURES) went into effect. It is now mandatory for Stanford Health Care physicians to consult CURES prior to prescribing, ordering, administering or furnishing a Schedule II–IV controlled substance.
