Biography


Dr. Bahm is a board-certified pediatrician providing primary care for children at Stanford Health Care’s Menlo Medical Clinic. She completed her medical doctorate at Stanford University School of Medicine and her residency at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford.

She has worked with children her entire life. She enjoys connecting with kids of all ages and their parents. She deeply values the trust that develops through building relationships and partnerships with her patients and their families. Dr. Bahm uses an integrative approach to medicine, applying research-based complementary medicine when appropriate. She believes that nutrition and the environment play a large role in overall health.

Dr. Bahm’s research interests focus on improving processes or protocols within medical clinics. She studied the effectiveness of a video teaching tool to improve clinician recognition of conditions that inflame the brain in infants. She used her education in bioethics to identify the essential components needed to develop a posthumous sperm procurement protocol.

She has published work in the American Journal of Perinatology and Fertility and Sterility. She has also presented her research to her colleagues at the Child Neurology Society Conference and the American Society for Bioethics and Humanities.

Dr. Bahm has participated in numerous volunteer efforts related to children and families. She founded a women’s health specialty group and a support group for parents whose babies are born prematurely. She has also coordinated an orphanage outreach program in the Dominican Republic.
