Diagnosing Intestinal Motility
05.16.2016
Intestinal motility disorders are not easy to figure out. If you cannot eat without pain, nausea, or vomiting, then motility may be the cause. Stanford motility expert Linda Nguyen, MD, is the director of the Neurogastroenterology, Motility, and Functional Disorders Program.
In this video, she explains what happens when a motility disorder interferes with proper digestion—and how specialized expert care can bring patients clarity about what they can do. Stanford Digestive Health Center gathers a team of specialists to help patients regain a sense of control. In addition to care available at the GI Pain Clinic, Dr. Nguyen also includes acupuncture and mindfulness in her recommended treatment options.
