When to Call 911
If you have an urgent medical problem that’s not life-threatening and your primary care provider isn’t available, our team can help. Conditions we treat in Urgent Care include:
Illness
- Diarrhea, vomiting, and minor abdominal (belly) issues
- Flu, colds, cough, and sore throat
- Ear infections
- Pink eye and other minor eye problems
- Rashes
- Respiratory infections, allergies, and mild asthma
- Urinary tract infections (UTI) and pain when urinating
Accidents and Injuries
- Animal and insect bites
- Back pain
- Cuts and minor wounds
- Minor burns
- Sprains and strains
If you or your loved one has a condition that can lead to severe harm or death if left untreated, you should go to the emergency room immediately. Conditions we treat in the ER include:
Pain and Illness
- Abdominal pain or severe nausea and vomiting
- Chest pain or pressure
- Difficulty breathing and shortness of breath
- Infections and sepsis, a bacterial infection in the bloodstream
- Seizure
- Severe allergic reactions
- Sudden weakness or inability to walk, talk, see, or move
Trauma, Accidents, and Injuries
- Broken bones, especially if the area is numb
- Loss of consciousness
- Injury from a car accident, fall, or other trauma
- Moderate to severe burns
- Severe bleeding
- Poisoning or overdose
- Trauma to the head, neck, or back
Call 911 right away if you are having a life-threatening medical emergency and cannot get yourself to the emergency department. Every minute counts, and EMTs can start delivering life-saving treatments in an ambulance on the way to the hospital.
You should call 911 if you are:
- Experiencing chest pain or pressure
- Finding it difficult to breathe
- Having trouble walking, talking, or seeing, or if your face is drooping
- Unable to transport yourself or your loved one to the ER safely
