With an endearing commitment to increasing staff involvement in research-related activities to benefit patients, families and care givers at Stanford Health Care. The Office of Research works as a synergized team to consult on a range of topics, including study design, data management, dissemination and funding opportunities across the enterprise. The Stanford University Nurse Alumnae continue to support nursing education and research at Stanford Health Care and contribute to the excellence of front-line clinical excellence.

ORPCS offers individual and group consultations on a range of research-related topics. These include project ideas, study designs, IRB requirements, protocol development, and project oversight.
Data Management
ORPCS offers assistance with data collection, preparation, and analysis. From descriptive statistics to inferential methods, we can aid in analyzing your data and interpreting results for write-up.
Funding Opportunities
ORPCS offers advice on identifying funding opportunities and completing grant applications. This may involve either external or internal grants, such as the Stanford Nursing Alumnae Legacy Project Grant and the Friends of Nursing Scholarships & Grants.
Abstracts, Posters & Manuscripts
ORPCS offers feedback on abstracts/posters for professional conferences and manuscripts for journal submission. This includes guidance on scientific writing, effective use of imagery and text, and mentorship in manuscript writing.
Institutional Review Board (IRB)
ORPCS provides comprehensive assessment to help determine if your project may require Institutional Review Board (IRB) review and can help facilitate and support you through the IRB process.

Each quarter, Lane Medical Library offers a suite of regularly scheduled classes which include navigating PubMed, citation management solutions, and best practices for searching the biomedical literature. The library also includes new courses on current topics of high interest to the School of Medicine community, such as an introduction to Stanford Medicine Box.
