Women's Imaging Center
Designed by people who identify as women for people who identify as women, Stanford Health Care - Tri-Valley's Women's Imaging Center offers the latest technology. The center provides a relaxed and soothing environment where women have more privacy, and the state-of-the-art digital equipment gives radiologists immediate access to mammogram images.
The center is located in the same building as the Regional Cancer Center at Tri-Valley and the Tri-Valley Health Library, giving women who are dealing with cancer easy access to information, diagnostics and treatment.
Services offered at the Women's Imaging Center include:
- 3-D breast ultrasound
- Breast ultrasound
- Digital mammography (also offered in Livermore)
- Stereotactic breast biopsy
- Ultrasound guided biopsy
A new state law now requires health care providers to notify women when their screening mammogram shows dense breasts beginning April 1, 2013. For information or to learn more about dense breasts, visit www.breastdensity.info/
