Treatment & Wellness Care
Just as every woman is unique, no two cervical cancers are alike. To ensure you receive the highest level of personalized care, the Stanford Gynecologic Cancer Program embraces a collaborative approach to treatment planning.
Your doctors will work closely with you to develop a treatment path that addresses your medical, physical, emotional, and social needs. Plus, weekly Tumor Boards bring together experts from multiple disciplines to review cases that require more complex recommendations.
Our doctors use minimally invasive procedures to remove tumors and minimize reoccurrence. Stanford is one of the few centers in the United States to offer fertility-conserving treatments. Surgical therapies include:

- Laser surgery and laser therapy
- Sentinel lymph node biopsy
- Trachelectomy—a surgical removal of the uterine cervix
- Hysterectomy
Radiation Therapy
Our radiation oncologists use the most advanced techniques to target optimal treatment doses to affected areas of the cervix. Targeted treatment limits exposure of nearby healthy tissue. Radiation therapies include:
