Blepharitis Treatment
Blepharitis Treatment
Your doctor will recommend a particular blepharitis treatment based on the condition’s cause. Since blepharitis is often an ongoing (chronic) condition, we work with you to make sure you are comfortable taking certain steps at home to manage the problem.
Treatments include:
- Artificial tears to relieve dry eyes
- Warm compresses to remove scales from your eyelashes and break down oil buildup from your glands
- Eyelid scrubbing to remove dandruff-like scales and other debris from your eyelashes
- Antibiotic ointment or drops for bacterial infections
- Anti-inflammatory steroids
- Washing your hair, scalp and eyebrows with special shampoo
