Causes of Acne Rosacea
Rosacea Causes
There are several theories about what causes rosacea, but doctors don't yet know the reason. That leaves a list of clues:
- It seems to run in families
- The condition worsens when blood vessels expand — often triggered by:
- Exercise
- Sun and wind
- Heat and temperature swings
- Stress
- Spicy food
- Alcohol and hot baths
- People who get it usually are:
- Between 30 and 50
- Fair-skinned, often with blonde hair and blue eyes
- Descended from Scandinavian or Celtic families
- Those who had severe acne
