Symptoms of Facial Volume Loss
Facial Volume Loss Symptoms
Volume loss can reveal parts of your face that were previously concealed, as well as provide an opening for annoyances like wrinkles. Signs of facial volume loss include:
- Wrinkles
- Lines on the lips and around the nose
- Hollowing around the eye sockets
- Flattened and sagging cheeks
- Loose skin around the jawline (jowls)
- Thinner lips, with less definition
- Drier, thinner-looking skin with less elasticity
- Emphasized bone at the brows, giving a more skeletal appearance
- Folds: from the corners of the nose to the mouth (nasolabial) and/or beneath the corners of the mouth (oral commissures)
- More square-looking face
