Patient Advisory Councils: Cancer Center PAC
Cancer Center Patient Advisory Council (CCPAC)
The traditional culture in medicine is evolving to include patients and family members as equal and critical members of the patient's the healthcare team. The Stanford Cancer Institute takes this partnership seriously, working hand-in-hand with our patient and family community to improve patient and staff satisfaction, while improving health outcomes for patients.
In January of 2012, the Cancer Institute established the Cancer Center Patient Advisory Council (CCPAC), a formal partnership between patients, family members, staff and administrators. The CCPAC meets twice a month, incorporating the voices of patients, contributing to policies, processes, programs and facility design. The Council is well positioned to play a crucial role in the development of the Transformational Model of Care for patients and families at the Cancer Center.
