Outpatient Psychiatry Clinic
The Stanford Psychiatry Clinic provides comprehensive outpatient behavioral health and psychiatric care for adults, addressing a wide range of disorders. Consultation and ongoing treatment is provided by faculty physicians and psychologists, as well as post-doctoral psychology fellows and psychiatry residents, nurse practitioners, and social workers. The clinic also provides treatment for specialized populations including seniors, women, and patients with a co-existing medical disorder.

Adult Treatment Specialties
Anxiety Clinic
Evaluation and treatment for individuals with a primary diagnosis of anxiety disorders, including generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, and social anxiety disorder.
Bipolar disorders
Second opinion consultations, evaluation and medication management of Bipolar Disorders Types I & II.
centerspace Clinic
We provide culturally-contextualized, trauma-informed care for people for whom the experience of carrying marginalized, multiple and/or intersecting identities is an important part of their mental health and well-being. We work with individuals to achieve meaningful recovery in complex contexts including cross-cultural dynamics, integrating spirituality and faith, spiritual and/or racial trauma, immigration and displacement.
Couples and family
Evaluation and treatment of relationship problems, marital conflict, divorce, remarriage and parenting issues.
Digital Mental Health Clinic
The Stanford Digital Mental Health Clinic provides a hybrid of 1:1 individual therapy and digital mental health treatments for patients with depression and anxiety disorders. In our clinic, patients use a digital therapy program, delivered via smartphone app, to learn cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness skills. Patients engage with the digital treatment on a daily basis, in addition to attending biweekly virtual visits for 1:1 therapy with a clinician.
Depression
Second opinion consultations and ongoing medication management for mood disorders including depression, dysthymia, cyclothymia. ECT evaluations. Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, (TMS) for depression.
Individual psychotherapy
Long-term psychotherapy for patients with relationship or personal difficulties. All diagnoses including those requiring medication are considered.
Impulse control disorders
Evaluation and management of intermittent explosive disorder, kleptomania, pathological gambling, trichotillomania, pyromania.
Geriatric psychiatry
Evaluation and treatment for patients 65 years and older with depression, anxiety, behavioral symptoms of dementia and other psychiatric disorders complicated by the biological and psychological effects of aging.
La Clínica Latina
Es el nuevo servicio ambulatorio de Stanford Health Care que brinda a nuestros pacientes latinos que hablan español atención psiquiátrica en su idioma y que toma en cuenta la cultura latina. Contamos con servicios por videollamada. Ofrecemos servicio de evaluación y seguimiento de medicamentos psiquiátricos también como servicios de psicoterapia.
La Clínica Latina
This is Stanford Health Care's new outpatient service that provides our Spanish-speaking Latino patients psychiatric care that considers their culture. We have video call services. We offer services for psychiatric medication management and also offer psychotherapy services.
Neuropsychiatry
Psychiatric or behavioral complications of neurological disorders such as movement disorders, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, head trauma or stroke.
Obsessive-compulsive disorder
Evaluation and treatment for patients with a primary diagnosis of an obsessive-compulsive spectrum condition, including OCD, hair-pulling (trichotillomania), skin picking, hoarding, body dysmorphia, gambling, internet/smartphone/video game “addiction”, and compulsive shopping.
Psychosocial treatment clinics
Evaluation and treatment of eating disorders, panic and anxiety disorders, personality disorders, adjustment disorders and psychosocial treatment of depression or stress. Provides DBT therapy groups and a group for non-epileptic seizure disorders.
Psychosomatic medicine
Evaluation and treatment of patients who have psychiatric or behavioral symptoms as a result of, or related to, a serious medical illness or injury such as cancer, heart disease, stroke or chronic pain.
Thought disorders
Consultation and medication management for patients with schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder and psychosis.
Women's wellness
Evaluation and treatment of female specific psychiatric disorders and behavioral or psychiatric symptoms related to post-partum depression, PMS, menopause, infertility and pregnancy issues.
Clinical Trials
Clinical trials are research studies that evaluate a new medical approach, device, drug, or other treatment. As a Stanford Health Care patient, you may have access to the latest, advanced clinical trials.
Open trials refer to studies currently accepting participants. Closed trials are not currently enrolling, but may open in the future.
