Cataract Symptoms
Cataract Symptoms
Cataracts can affect one eye or both. Most cataracts develop gradually, so you may not notice symptoms at first. As the cataract progresses, you may begin to notice:
- Cloudy, blurry or dim vision (without pain)
- Decreased vision at night or in low light
- Increased sensitivity to light or glare
- Halos around lights
- Colors that seem yellowed or faded
- Needing brighter light for reading
- Repeated prescriptions changes for glasses or contacts
- Double vision in one eye
Other medical conditions and eye problems can cause similar symptoms, so we recommend a full eye exam with one of our doctors for an accurate diagnosis.
