Cataract Surgery and Treatment
Cataract Surgery and Treatment
If we diagnose you with a cataract, some basic, non-surgical measures may help improve your sigh—at least at first. These include:
- Changing your prescription for glasses or contact lenses (we have an on-site optical store)
- Limiting night driving if you see halos or glare
- Using brighter light or a magnifying glass when reading
Once a cataract causes significant vision problems that interfere with your daily life, we recommend speaking to us about outpatient cataract surgery at Byers Eye Institute. We have all the tools and techniques to optimize your vision with this procedure. We offer:
- Sophisticated measurements of your eye before surgery, including corneal topography and wavefront analysis
- Minimally invasive approach that avoids sutures, performed by skilled surgeons with respected academic appointments
- Topical anesthesia
- State-of-the-art intraocular lens (IOL) replacement for your eye
- Enhancements, including femtosecond laser surgery, intraoperative aberrometry, and custom specialty lenses
