Treatment for Hyperhidrosis
Hyperhidrosis Treatments
Treatment for excessive sweating depends on your overall health, the type of hyperhidrosis you have and its location. Options include:
- Antiperspirant: either regular or prescription strength, to temporary plug sweat ducts
- Iontophoresis: a pan of water and low-voltage electric current treats hands or feet
- Medication: temporarily prevents sweating
- Botox: injections treat severe sweating on the face, under the arms (axillary hyperhidrosis) and on the hands (palmar hyperhidrosis)
