Pink Eye Symptoms
Pink Eye Symptoms
Conjunctivitis can affect one or both eyes, and is most distinguishable by the redness it causes. That happens when the conjunctiva (the membrane) becomes swollen or irritated, causing its blood vessels to become more pronounced.
Additional symptoms can include:
- Swollen eyelids
- Increase in tears, pus, or mucus
- Feeling that something is in your eye
- Itchiness
- Blurred vision
- Eyelash crusting
Other medical conditions can cause these symptoms, too, including other eye conditions. Please see one of our eye doctors for an accurate diagnosis.
